The ranking in context

This entry is #17 in the existing Release 80 snapshot, with a listed 55 future-value grade. Rankings describe a board position, not a guaranteed major-league outcome.

Ranking source date: 2026-07-23. Team assignment follows the maintained S80 site record and may differ from the original ranking snapshot.

Existing S80 assessment

De Paula demonstrates the engine's position-specific bar: the bat is carrying the projection. S80 rewards the advanced swing decisions and impact quality while making him clear a higher offensive threshold because of corner-defense risk.

Development question: Keep converting elite swing decisions and exit velocity into pull-side game power.

This is the site's existing assessment, not a newly verified scouting update.
